How to select sunglasses?

Sunglasses not only can protect your eyes from dangerous UV rays, they'll also let you express your sense of style, as well as show off your personality. There are thousands of sunglass styles on the market. To help you narrow down your choice, we collected some suggestions from the sunglass experts to help you making the decision much easier.

People with round faces should choose sunglasses with square or rectangular frames. On the other hand, rounded or oval-shaped sunglass frames are better choices for people with square faces.

For people with wide nose, rimless and metal frame sunglasses are better choices, since they allow the nose to blend in nicely with the lenses. The people with long nose should choose straight, horizontal, plastic sunglass frame with a low bridge, as it'll help break up the line of the face nicely. Men with small button noses should opt for metal framed sunglasses with high bridges, which will help expose more of the nose.

If your eyes are closer together, you’d better choose a smaller pair of sunglasses, which will allow your eyes to be nicely centered within the lenses. If you have wider eyes, then select a pair of larger rimless shades or plastic styled frames.

The common tints of sunglasses are amber and orange. Amber and orange tints reduce blue light, which is a chief component of glare. Sunglasses with amber or orange tints are ideal for high glare sports like boating, skiing, and flying. The dark tint reduces eyestrain, making it an ideal tint for driving, cycling, and running. Rose, vermillion, and yellow are all solid daytime tints.
